Sony Ericsson Xperia arc Preview

This is a global GSM phone. Can be used with T-Mobile and AT&T United States, but without 3 G.

Getting Started:

After the disappointment that was the Xperia X 10 and Sony Ericsson have a new product, which could put the company out there, when it comes to high-end smartphones. Introduced officially at CES 2011, Sony Ericsson Xperia arc represents the next big thing in the line-up of the manufacturer.

Sony Ericsson seems to be learning from mistakes, such as handset comes not only with amazing design and material, but end up with the latest version of Android – 2.3 Melopswmo – right out of the box. In fact, the handset has a unique shape, thanks to the thinnest smartphone on top section thus moniker "arc". These prizes will be enough to repair the broken heart of Sony Ericsson fans worldwide? Design:

We mentioned this thing is thin? We did, and we cannot take their eyes away from the outside of the arc of the Sony Ericsson Xperia. It is just 1.71 ' (8,7 mm) thin in the Middle, which gradually converted into 0.90 "(10 mm) at both ends. The greatest ambition (pun intended) is to arm the company with the "thinnest" Punch line, and the result is beautiful.

We showed the handset to be beloved, how slick is, and even we seasoned veterans could not help but agree, this is the way to go with large screen handset. Size of screen huge 4.2 "is very uncomfortable in 0,48" thickness and lever profile makes it more comfortable to hold and manipulate.

You can compare Sony Ericsson Xperia arc with our many other phones use visualisation tool size.

4.2 "screen is Sony's Super black, LCD with 480 x 854 pixels resolution and a stated INDENT. Just before CES 2011 phones with this resolution targeting silver medal was finally only iPhone 4 retina appearance, but with the announcement of the qHD screens in some new phones from Motorola, Sony looks bronze here. What sets apart, however, that this is the first in Sony's BRAVIA Engine that uses the company's award-winning flat screen tv. Sony has come up with a new title by adding Mobile BRAVIA Engine in this type of display, – display marketing reality. What we do here is to rev up contrast and sharpness, when viewing photos or video playback.

We can certify that there is a difference, even if it is not important, for example as subdued as one among the Super AMOLED screen technology, Super LCD. We prefer worse colors Super AMOLED. The appearance of our prototype unit was quite bright for comfortable operation this obvious, as all fine and dandy, but angles of view is very poor. Contrast and color degradation when turning a corner is almost identical to the older generation of LCD monitors and away from those displayed retina view or NOVA LG Optimus black, by means of IPS LCD technology. Still, it is part of the screen you will see at least some review, and when they looked straight, screen delivers more saturated colors than the appearance of the retina.

Below the screen, there are three thin Android navigation buttons – at home and menus, forming an arc (why). Is similar to what we have on other phones on the Xperia, and is illuminated with white LED lighting. The three keys are a nice relaxed feeling when pressed, instead of the annoying Clicks, and it is very easy to operate even in the default device.

We had a "blue light", which is so dark that looks almost black, if it were not nice gradient in the back cover. There is also a version "Afonso Silver", which looks even more impressive. Is it the whole design quality plastic, which some sniff at, but with a display, 4.2 "we would rather keep the weight under control than asking for metallic elements, which will make your phone bulky and more cumbersome command (cough, cough, HD HTC desire). Watches arc Sony Ericsson Xperia at 4.12 oz (117grams), which is slightly less than the Samsung Galaxy S, but this here is a shooter 8MP with INDENT flash that has sport any Galaxy flash section, and has a slightly smaller screen.

The sensor camera is placed in the room only engineering team could match, considering thickness 1.71 "Middle East near the upper edge of the back-so be careful not to place your finger over the lens when shooting. Combine this with the rather smallish and a bit difficult to press the shutter button on the right near the bottom edge, and you must hold the phone with both hands while you download an image, unless you use the touchscreen. This is not a bad thing, since they are holders of such a light phone fixed is crucial to achieve crisp snap.

Another design element that classes up the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc is satin chromed band around, complete with the rest of the buttons and exposures – volume rocker and microUSB port to starboard, 3.5 mm audio jack at the top left and cover of port microHDMI and the power button/lock from the top.

Press the power/Lock at the top is where you would love to see the changes in the final device. This slightly protruding makes it easier to find, but it is still the size of confetti, so only check what it is, you have overtaken with the fingers on top until you find, and then press time. The best solution would be to move the screen lock on the pages.

An ambient light sensor or camera-facing front resigned our device prototype, but there is a selected rather than up front and Sony Ericsson said lately is the ambient light sensor, so no front cam for us-which was, of course, go into such a slim design. Nevertheless ask Sony Ericsson Xperia arc is such a looker, that we are prepared to resign a lot more noise than the lack of a video front. Sony Ericsson Xperia arc 360 degree view:
